The Medical Grant refers to financial assistance offered by the JCPD to its registered clients to assist in offsetting expenses for medical procedures, surgeries, lab work, diagnostics, medications, and prescriptions. This grant offers a maximum amount of Three Hundred Thousand Jamaican Dollars (JMD $300,000) per applicant.
Eligibility:
- To access the Medical Grant, applicants must:
- Be registered with the JCPD.
- Provide proof of need by way of a letter/report from their doctor.
- Provide an invoice with detailed information about the item or service required.
- Provide proof of part payment in the form of a receipt or provide confirmation of a payment plan from the supplier.
JCPD’s roles and responsibility
The JCPD’s Officer is to ensure that the following documents are current and are submitted upon application for this grant:
- Completed Grant Application Form
- Invoice no older than three (3) months
- Proof of payment in the form of a receipt.
- Evidence of need in the form of a letter or report from a clinician/therapist or the professional recommending the service/goods.
Who can apply?
Persons with disabilities or Caregivers of persons with disabilities registered with the JCPD who are faced with insurmountable financial medical expenses.
